PATNA: COVID-19 confirmed cases climbed to 2345 in Bihar on Saturday, with 179 more persons including 21 from Vaishali District and 13 from Katihar testing positive to the disease on the day. Four persons from Patna District including three from Dulhinbazar also tested positive to COVID-19. The Government is also looking into the infection trail of the new patients.
The health department in two tweets revealed the list of 97 and 82 more positive cases today.
Earlier, late on Friday evening, the health department tweeted, “61 more Covid-19 +ve cases in Bihar taking the total to 2166. We are ascertaining their trail of infection.” The patients from Buxar include two one-year-old boys and a seven-year-old girl, it said.
The contagion has so far claimed the lives of 11 people, including two each in Patna, Vaishali and Khagaria districts and one each in Rohtas, Munger, East Champaran, Sitamarhi and Begusarai districts.
