Bihar requests Centre to provide testing kits, PPE soon

PATNA: The Bihar government has requested the Center to provide testing kits and PPE (personal protective equipment) kit immediately. The state Chief Secretary, Deepak Kumar through a video conferencing with Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba of the Government of India, has requested to provide the kits so that more suspected patients can be tested.

The Chief Secretary told about the problems the state is facing to the Union Cabinet Secretary due to the corona virus infection. The chief secretary raised the issue of testing unit and PPE kit and requested to supply it from the center soon. The cabinet secretary has given the assurance to supply it soon. Considering this, Bihar’s chief secretary said that Bihar has also demanded N 95 masks. He said that permission has also been given to PMCH to test the corona virus infection. The chief secretary informed that at present the work will be carried out from two units.
