PATNA: Amid the rising threat of coronavirus infection in the state, several organizations and individuals have come forward to help those who are in need. The people have started donating funds to CM’s relief fund.
In this sequence, another organization of Bihar, whose members are on roads to maintain lockdown for safety of people, has also decided to donate in CM’s relief fund. The members of Bihar Police Association (BPA) have decided to donate Rs 1000 each to CM’s relief fund as a contribution to fight this novel disease. There are altogether 18,000 members associated with BPA. The estimated donation fund would be Rs 1.80 crore.
Mrityunjay Kumar Singh, president of BPA said the association with consultation of its members including general secretary Kapileshwar Paswan, vice-president Kumari Vandana and Yashodanand Pandey, joint secretaries Raju Kumar Dubey and Ravindra Kumar Singh, treasurer Z Khan has decided to donate Rs 1000 each in CM’s relief fund. The association has requested chief minister Nitish Kumar to deduct an amount of Rs 1000 from each police personnel and deposit it in CM’s relief fund. There are 18,000 members of BPA and the total fund would be Rs 1.8 crore for donation, he added.
