PATNA: The news of relief for the people of Bihar has come to the fore today amid the growing crisis of Corona. After about 2 months, the least new infected patients have been found in the corona examination done upon more than one lakh people in the state. In the examination of samples taken by the Health Department across the state on September 17, 1147 infected patients have been found, which is the lowest in the last 60 days. With this the total number of COVID cases in state has reached to 1,65,371
The total number of active patients in the state has also come down to 15000 for the first time in these 2 months. The total number of active patients in the state at present is 14,793. The districts where maximum cases of infection have been reported included 199 new cases have been registered in the capital Patna, 46 in Araria, 46 in Bhagalpur, 53 in Purnia, 60 in Saharsa, 49 in Supaul, 46 in West Champaran and 42 in Saran district.
The death toll in the epidemic rose to 855 on Thursday after seven people died during the last 24 hours due to Corona virus infection in Bihar. So far 1,64,224 people have been confirmed infected in the state.
In the last 24 hours 1,05,128 samples were tested and 1465 corona virus infected patients were cured. A total of 53,07,337 patients were screened in Bihar so far, out of which a total of 1,49,722 patients have been cured. The recovery percentage of patients is 91.17 percent.
